We are living in a very interesting time period, as over the last eight years or so the economy for most americans has significantly changed. Pre-2008/2009, the economy was zipping along and, for the most part, the economic environment was very strong on a broad basis.

However, most of us for the last six years have been hoping and waiting for things to return to “normal” (pre-2008/2009). And why not, almost every other time in the last few decades when we had an economic crisis as a nation, the economy rebounded rather quickly. I am not an economist, but it looks like this time things really are different and we have a structural change that will be with us for quite some time.

The american economy is resilient though and i am optimistic about the future regardless. Although, i do think all of us will have to work just a little harder and be just a touch more creative to get where we want to go.
